What I'm Doing Now
- Zippy is back! Hooray. I'm making a point of checking in with him every day. If he's in the mood, he gets a brush. Otherwise, it's a chat. So happy he is back and I can give him TLC.
- The orphan lambs are still in the orchard. I go to see them when I can (mostly weekends) and we have lots of cuddles.
- We bought a new chicken coop which I like better than the other. It's a bit smaller but we have fewer hens. It should be much easier to clean. Lulu and Jemima spend a lot of time free ranging around the yard.
What I'm Writing
- I've been writing daily on Instagram. But I'm ready for a change. I'm not sure what that looks like yet but I'm edging towards blogging.
- Obsidian is properly set up now. Seven Claude automations run daily, weekly, and monthly. It's become something of a small ecosystem. I do love what AI can do but also conscious of the phenomenal numbers of data centres attributed to this or is it the next point ...
- The digital ID/social media age verification stuff has been provoking a lot of thought. Analogue looks increasingly attractive.
- I've been reviewing the Essence Map but also being called to other ideas. Sometimes I wonder if the Essence Map is an idea whose time has been and gone. Thinking of sharing the bare bones using Recall.
What I'm Reading
My reads are getting logged on Goodreads by default but also came across a phenomenal app called Epilogue recently which is delightful.
Tech Stuff
I recently came across a tool called Recall. It's been around for a while but I had never heard of it. I think it popped up as they have updated to Recall 2.0. A bit like the Kortex I knew and loved, Recall is a second brain, knowledge repository and writing space. It also has an AI Agentic element and around 800,000 users.

Writing
Eden (previously Kortex)- this has become increasingly complex and I've lost interest. I did revisit it briefly when the Telegram integration was announced but, after one day, I'd run out of credit. Tana credit lasts much longer. A new iOS app looks amazing but I think Eden is overkill for what I need. Plus, I have abandoned most social media and the whole content creation malarkey.- Obsidian
