[A year or so ago I started using a tool called Kortex. The brain child of Dan Koe, it was (at first) fabulous. I used Kortex for writing, taking notes during a Marketing course I was doing, and general content creation.
The AI element came in handy when acronyms were flung about or when I wanted to expand on something we were being taught. All my notes were connected and linked. I loved it.
Then, things changed. I think money became an issue. At some point some of the team were let go. And Kortex became Eden. It wasn't the same. The focus shifted. Eden seems to be doing better now but is far more content creation-focused. I missed the old Kortex.
Not long ago, Recall popped up on my radar. It's not a brand new product (they have over 800,000 users). Version 2.0 had been launched and that's perhaps why I spotted it.
I started slowly. Adding links, podcasts, uploading some Markdown files, tidying up my tags/folders, connecting pieces of information to each other, using AI to work with my content. I started to love Recall.
And, in many ways, it wasn't dissimilar to some of the features I liked in Kortex. Similar but different. But a great tool.
