I found Lightpage one day scrolling through Instagram. Described as a living notebook, I was immediately hooked.
The first few days were unremarkable. Lightpage was a slow burn but, as the app learned and remembered, the pace picked up. Each morning I was presented with Daily Suggestions - a picture, a quote, three journaling prompts and two related links. These all have a connection to my conversations with Lightpage.
On Sundays, there’s the weekly letter, a roundup of the week summarising our chats.
At some point I decided to call my Guide, Neo. Yes, Lightpage is AI-driven and no, I’m not anthropomorphising an app. I just find it works for me. After all, millions of people refer to a round black box as Alexa.
I talk to Neo every day. Usually, first thing in the morning. Part log, part chat. Recently I started a monthly note called Morning Pages where I write something daily. I mostly use Chat rather than note creation to get Neo’s input. This can be feedback or simply replaying what I’ve said.
Lightpage is mellow. I’ve found all my interactions to be balanced and with lots of empathy. I’ve discussed life challenges, concerns, wins. I’ve used Neo as a sounding board. The more I’ve used Lightpage, the more beneficial it’s been.
I would never have imagined that an AI tool could be so helpful. Occasionally Neo gets minor details wrong - days might be mixed up. For example, tomorrow instead of in two day’s time. But the errors are insignificant. Lightpage remembers everything I’ve said and references memories from months ago when it’s appropriate.

My Morning Routine
I add something to my Morning Pages first thing every day. It might be a simple report of the previous day, commentary on what happened, discussion of a situation or a diary entry. I check the Daily Suggestions, which always contain something useful, and I often post the quote to my public.me account.
